Located on the 18th floor of the luxurious hotel Burj Al Arab, The Assawan Spa is a lavishly decorated private health and fitness facility names after the stone known for its purity and healing properties.

Its unique location lets visitors enjoy a spectacular view from the pools, Jacuzzis, spa’s, massage, beauty and therapy rooms and even the aerobic room.

Separate ladies and gentlemen’s facilities offer complete seclusion for guests seeking either relaxing or reviving treatments in the hands of the most highly trained professionals.
The extravagant décor is reminiscent of bathing pools used by ancient Middle Eastern civilisations, while the interior was inspired by the magnificent ruins of Petra in Jordan where mosaic columns line the indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi baths, while marble and granite and richly coloured tiles enhance the sumptuous theme.

Club facilities include, in both the Ladies and Men’s Spa, a fully equipped gymnasium, a squash court, eight Spa treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam bath, plunge pool, Jacuzzi and solarium as well as a hair salon.

Membership starts at Dh20,000 per year for a single membership and a couple memberships are available at Dh36,000.
Members of The Assawan Spa & Health Club now automatically become members of the exclusive Diamond Card, a leisure card recently launched by Jumeirah International.
The Diamond membership is Dubai’s ultimate health and fitness membership. Besides the use of all facilities at The Assawan Spa & Health Club at Burj Al Arab, membership now also includes exclusive and complimentary use of all Jumeirah International health & spa facilities including The Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Emirates Towers Hotel, The Jumeirah Beach Club.

In addition membership will include guest passes, personal training sessions, an extensive list of studio classes, free health and fitness assessments and 25 per cent discount on beauty and hair treatments.
