The Regency InterContinental Bahrain is greeting business and leisure travellers with a new level of service, as well as a new appearance, after completion of a $1.7 million investment programme.

The three-year project has transformed one of Bahrain's most distinguished hotels, creating three floors of completely renovated rooms as well as two new-look Royal Suites.

The Versailles Restaurant, Lebanese Restaurant, bistros and bars have all been revamped. In addition, the Clipper Room, with its cosy pub-style atmosphere, has been enhanced with tall-ship style beams and a range of nautical memorabilia.

The refurbished fitness centre features a new squash court, steam room and saunas, and a qualified resident recreation manager is available to design personalised fitness programmes and treatments.

"The renovation programme implemented by hotel owners, United Hotels Company, underlines their commitment towards maintaining the hotel's image and reputation and ensuring that the property matches the expectations of business and leisure travellers," said Renzo Cavagliotti, the newly appointed general manager of the Regency
