Riffa Golf Club has announced that it will be hosting a Ladies Charity Golf Day on May 12. All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Bahrain Cancer Society.
The event will have an 8am shotgun start and will cost BD10 for Riffa Golf Club members and BD15 for members' guests. Prices include a charitable donation and a prize-giving lunch to be held in the Club's 'Nineteen' restaurant after the tournament. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places in two categories - the 0-18 handicap section and the 19-36 handicap section. "We are delighted to host this event at the Club," says Maeve Galvin, Riffa Golf Club's sales and marketing manager. "We hope to raise a decent amount of money for this very worthwhile cause. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Ideally, we would like one company to sponsor each hole - the company will benefit by raising awareness of their products and services and of course the Bahrain Cancer Society will benefit by receiving additional donations."
