Hilton London Metropole is completing a multi-million-pound refurbishment of its West Wing, introducing 363 redesigned bedrooms aimed at families and groups, with the project scheduled for completion in November 2026.
The investment will
strengthen the hotel's family accommodation offering, with new room
configurations providing additional space, flexibility and comfort for visitors
exploring the British capital.
A highlight of the
refurbishment is the Four Queen Bed Family Connecting Room, which combines two
adjoining dual-queen rooms into a suite accommodating up to eight guests. Five
of these suites will be available, positioning the hotel among central London's
largest family-room offerings.
The renovated West
Wing will also feature dual-queen rooms accommodating up to four guests, family
rooms with sofa beds for up to five people and accessible accommodation
options. The redesigned bedrooms will feature contemporary interiors and will
be among the most spacious in the hotel.
Dining and
sustainability
The refurbishment
complements the hotel's existing food and beverage offering, which draws
inspiration from London's neighbourhoods, history and market culture.
Tyburn Kitchen serves
modern British cuisine using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, while
Tyburn Market offers all-day grab-and-go dining inspired by London's food
markets. Tyburn Kitchen Bar provides a more relaxed neighbourhood dining
experience.
The hotel's culinary
operations are led by Paul Bates, Hotel Chef of the Year 2025, who brings more
than 40 years of hospitality experience.
His approach focuses
on seasonal produce, local sourcing and reducing food waste, with 90% of
ingredients sourced within 100 miles of the hotel. The kitchen also follows a
whole-ingredient philosophy to maximise produce utilisation and minimise waste.
Through its
partnership with The Felix Project, Hilton London Metropole has donated more
than 73,000 meals since 2020.
Location and
accessibility
Located on Edgware
Road, the hotel offers transport connections across London and beyond, with
London Heathrow Airport accessible in approximately 15 minutes via the
Elizabeth line.
Nearby attractions
include Hyde Park, which features the Diana Memorial Playground and extensive
green spaces, as well as Little Venice, known for its canals, waterside cafes
and walking routes.
Kelly Shrives-Wrist,
General Manager of Hilton London Metropole, is leading the hotel's
transformation. She previously served almost a decade as its Commercial
Director, helping shape the West Wing project before becoming the opening
General Manager of Hilton Woking.
She returned to Hilton
London Metropole in November 2025 to oversee the hotel's ongoing development.
The refurbishment further reinforces the property's position as a major London accommodation destination for families, groups and international visitors. -TTN
