The InterContinental Dubai has unveiled two more key elements in a major renovation of the city's first five-star hotel property which is also celebrating an overwhelming restaurant success story.

The hotel opened a new restaurant, bar and club, Mystizo as well as Boulvar - a successor to the hotel's popular ground floor coffee shop.

It also celebrated the fourth birthday party of La Moda, one of Dubai's popular Italian restaurant.

"The InterContinental Dubai is entering a new chapter in its close, long-standing relationship with the people of the emirate, and our guests from many parts of the world," said general manager Henri Blin.

"The opening of Mystizo is particularly exciting, as we believe this will quickly establish itself as one of Dubai's most celebrated restaurants, while highlighting the great steps that are being taken to uplift the hotel's status after 27 years of distinguished service."

In May, the hotel re-launched its splendid Grand Zabeel ballroom after a Dh6 million renovation and Blin said more renovations and additions would be announced soon.

Mystizo combines elements from North Africa, Andalusia and Asia in delicious dishes prepared in a modern style by a Singaporean chef.

The same combination is evident in the stunning line-up of all-female staff, hand-picked for their personality.
