New loyalty programme by Hyatt, MGM

HYATT Hotels Corporation and MGM Resorts International recently announced an unprecedented relationship between their affiliates that will offer substantial benefits to members of their loyalty programmes, Hyatt Gold Passport and MGM Resorts’ M life.

Hyatt Gold Passport members can earn and redeem Hyatt Gold Passport points at 12 iconic participating MGM Resorts destinations in Las Vegas, and M life members will be able to earn M life Tier Credits when staying at Hyatt hotels and resorts around the world.

The relationship between Hyatt, with more than 450 hotels and resorts worldwide, and MGM Resorts International, with approximately 40,000 hotel rooms in Las Vegas across 12 participating properties, is expected to be the largest loyalty programme collaboration in Las Vegas.

Participating MGM Resorts destinations can be booked through Hyatt.com and Hyatt Worldwide Reservation Centres in addition to mlife.com and individual MGM Resorts property websites. Guests with membership in Hyatt Gold Passport and M life will be able to earn both Hyatt Gold Passport points and M life Tier Credits on eligible rates and spend for stays at participating MGM Resorts destinations.

The participating MGM Resorts destinations in Las Vegas are Bellagio, ARIA, Vdara, MGM Grand, The Signature at MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Monte Carlo, New York-New York, Luxor and Excalibur.

 

Strong participation at World Routes 2013

THE 19th World Route Development Forum will take place in Las Vegas from October 5-8 and organisers of the event are expecting more senior industry figures to be in attendance than at any previous Routes event.

It will be co-hosted by Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and Las Vegas McCarran International Airport, has seen high level registrations from all sectors of the industry with 100 airline and airport CEOs and Ministers of Tourism expected to attend.

The World Routes Conference Programme, which will include the World Routes Strategy Summit, The World Tourism Summit, Invest & Manage Airports, Routes Talks and Route Exchange Airline Briefings, will bring together leaders from across the industry to participate in discussions that will set the commercial and political agenda for the industry.

 

New pickup Line in Hollywood

THE City of West Hollywood has launched “The Pickup Line,” a trolley service that offers free and fun transportation to WeHo’s legendary nightlife and dining hotspots, while enabling visitors to enjoy a green and car-free Los Angeles experience. The weekend night time trolley runs along Santa Monica Boulevard on Friday and Saturday nights.

The PickUp Line is a four-mile long loop with stops every two to three blocks, offering passengers a lift every 15 minutes. The goal of The PickUp is to provide an alternative to the automobile and bring an energetic and playful transit option to one of West Hollywood’s busiest night time districts.

 

Virgin offers new spa experience

ALL Virgin Atlantic Upper Class passengers travelling to Dubai from London Heathrow and New York JFK now have the chance to enjoy the world’s first Dr. Hauschka spa. Dr. Hauschka was first introduced to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at New York’s JFK International Airport in March 2012. Due to its popularity, the airline expanded the partnership to its Clubhouses in the UK.
