W Sardinia – Poltu Quatu, the brand’s newest coastal escape is set for its full launch in spring 2026, after a preview opening last summer.
Overlooking the Marina dell’Orso, in the idyllic, intimate village of Poltu Quatu, meaning ‘hidden port’ in old Sardinian language, W Sardinia – Poltu Quatu is set on the northeast coastline of the island, between Porto Cervo and Baia Sardinia. The picturesque white village is nestled within a natural fjord and surrounded by granite rocks shaped by the wind, lush landscape and crystal-clear water.
The new hotel is designed by the visionaries behind W Rome, multi-disciplinary architecture and design studio Meyer Davis, led by Will Meyer and Gray Davis, Meyer Davis, with architecture by DE. Tales.
In the guestrooms (154 keys), the design shifts towards a serene, retreat-like experience with the same island-inspired sand and sea colour palette in continuity with the public spaces. Local references are recalled through textures and round forms, with a standout custom ceramic headboard and wallcovering inspired by the Nuraghe civilisation.
Stand out social spaces include TANIT seafood restaurant, overlooking the lively marina, along with the signature W Lounge, WET Deck and FIT Fitness centre. The 2026 summer season will also welcome the opening of an AWAY Spa and W Beach Club.
The Penthouse elevates the experience further with a large outdoor terrace complete with a private pool, as well as a full kitchen and bar - perfect for private entertaining or a more residential-style retreat, all while overlooking the dramatic Sardinian landscape.
