B/ATTITUDE Spa is the newest wellness retreat to open doors in Dubai, located at Tower Two of the Grosvenor House. The 1,584.3 sq m Spa breaks away from the traditional spa experience with its oriental, chakra infused décor and tranquil atmosphere.
A fusion of east meets west, the new Spa is fast gaining popularity among residents for its signature massages inspired by Tibetan masters and traditional Thai, Swedish and Balinese massages. They also offer a number of beauty treatments including Sacred Stones, a holistic and emotionally uplifting treatment, the Bushido Spa (also known as ‘tiger roar within’) combining silk and bamboo elements created especially for Dubai, the Tibetan Ayurvedic massage and the Charme d’Orient Royal Hammam Ritual offered in the Hammam treatment rooms.
I chose to be pampered with the Charme d’Orient’s Oriental Wrap, a beauty treatment recommended for my dry skin. Much to my joy, I was ushered into my treatment room within 10 minutes of arrival. The Oriental Wrap treatment involves exfoliation, a 20-minute warm body wrap allowing your skin to relax (while you are treated to a wonderful head and face massage), followed by a moisturizing massage after a quick shower. There is a choice of either Shea Butter or Sesame oil massage and my choice of Shea Butter left my skin feeling soft and re-hydrated – ideal for those of us who have to endure the scorching Middle East sun.
Much to my dismal, the treatment did come to an end and I had to get back to reality and to the office! The 60-minute treatment is ideal for a quick recharge during the day and costs Dh510 ($138).
For guests who like to take advantage of the Spa facilities, there’s the majestic B/Attitude Spa Hammam pools, where you can alternate between five different temperature mosaic pools, ranging from 18 to 38 degrees. B/Attitude Spa also has his and hers ‘aqua suites’ complimented by an ice fountain, a lavish dark stone Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and heated mosaic lounges .
