Galoisy joins Radisson Blu Hotel

The Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed François Galoisy as general manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City. He joined Rezidor as executive assistant manager at Radisson SAS Hotel, Dubai Media City and was promoted to general manager of Park Inn Muscat in Oman in 2008.
Lacin named complex manager

The Westin Dubai and Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina have promoted Tolga Lacin as complex hotel manager. Lacin joined the properties as complex executive assistant manager food and beverage in 2009. Prior to moving to Dubai, he was with the Asia Pacific Starwood team.

Jumeirah Group has announced new management staff at its hotels and resorts opening in Europe. Alison Wheatley (pictured) joins as brand marketing manager, Europe. Isabella Owen joins the Jumeirah Frankfurt as director of sales and marketing, while Sandra Farrero is director of sales and marketing for Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa, Spain.

The Taj Palace Hotel Dubai has appointed Oukba Nafai as director of food and beverage. Nafai joins with more than 15 years’ experience in the hospitality industry after starting his career as a butler with the Mövenpick Hotel & Casino Malabata Tangier. He has also worked with Hilton Hotels & Resorts which was his last posting.

Fajardo joins Dusit Thani from the Burj Al Arab where she was sales co-ordinator for the last five years. Prior to that she was with the Plantation Bay Resort & Spa in Cebu, Philippines.

Before joining Gulf Air, she held the position of group human resources and administration manager at Al Zayani Investments and manager human resources and recruitment with global financial services company, American Express in Bahrain.
Etihad names Nepal country manager

Etihad Airways has appointed Pawana Shrestha as its country manager in Nepal. Based in Kathmandu, Shrestha began her career with Gulf Air in 1999, where she served in various roles in reservations, sales and marketing. In November 2004, she joined Galileo, a position she held till her recent appointment.

David Contreras joins the property as executive chef, bringing with him a melting pot of international culinary experience, while Davina Patel joins as complex spa manager.
Shah joins Coral Suites Hotel, Fujairah

Furqan Shah has been appointed at the Coral Suites Hotel, Fujairah, as director of sales. Prior to his appointment, Shah worked as assistant general manager for Grand Midwest Group of deluxe hotel apartments and Golden Squire hotel apartments in Dubai. He has also worked for the Landmark Group of Hotels and Flamingo Group among others.

Nemeh was most recently at the Safir Doha Hotel in Qatar where he held the position of assistant food and beverage manager. Prior to that he was with the Rihab Rotana Suites in Dubai where he was food and beverage manager.
InterCon Abu Dhabi appoints Fournes

InterContinental Abu Dhabi has announced Patrick Fournes as its new chef. The French-born chef has around 15 years of experience and was previously with the Hotel InterContinental Manila, where he gained considerable experience in the preparation of tropical dishes. He has also worked with the famous Dorchester London hotel.

The Coral Beach Hotel & Resort Beirut has appointed Eddy Nohra (pictured) as general manager. Nohra has worked in several reputed hotels including the Lausanne Palace Montreux, Nouveau Palace Hotel Belgium and most recently Edde Sands. Slavy Ghazal joins the hotel as director of sales and marketing.
