Al-Said…building on success

ON THE eve of Arabian Travel Market, MUSAED AL-SAID CEO of Al Khozama Management Company (AKMC) talks to TTN about the company’s future plans.

How many times has AKMC participated at Arabian Travel Market?

AKMC has been exhibiting at the Arabian Travel Market since 2009.

What will the company be particularly promoting?

The most recent addition to the hotel is Al Faisaliah Hotel – South. This new wing is Riyadh’s benchmark-setting definition of modern comfort and elegance. Meticulously designed by Al Dar Design, the hotel has been recognised by the Saudi Building Infrastructure Awards as Saudi Arabia’s Best Hotel Project 2011. The hotel presents an additional 106 premier rooms and suites bringing the full complement of accommodations at Al Faisaliah Hotel to 330. Guests enjoy technologically advanced in-room luxuries, as well as innovative Italian dining at the open-kitchen concept La Cucina restaurant.

AKMC is also building on its success as an operator in the holy city of Makkah by signing a new management contract for a five-star hotel in Madinah with Al Aqeeq for Investment & Development.

The five-star luxury Al Faisaliah Hotel-Madinah features 495 keys, extensive conference and health club facilities and all the amenities commensurate with a five-star hotel of an international calibre.

Inspired by the experience and reputation AKMC has gained over the last 10 years as an owner/operator of Al Faisaliah Complex in the city of Riyadh and AKMC-Al Shohada Hotel in the holy city of Makkah, the new Al Faisaliah Hotel-Madinah promises to meet and exceed all future expectations of product and service orientations.

In addition, AKMC is currently considering various options at it relates to multiple investments and partnerships within the local, national and regional markets.

What do you expect to gain from participation?

We would like to position Al Khozama Management Company as a leading developer and operator of luxury five-star properties, emphasizing its unprecedented support  for the hospitality sector within Saudi Arabia.

Our prime importance at this year’s ATM is also to showcase our brand new product: Al Faisaliah Hotel – South to further create awareness amongst the influential travel trade professionals from around the world.

Will AKMC be making any announcements at the event?

As stated earlier we are exploring a few other options to further expand our portfolio and we will hopefully be making an exciting announcement for a luxury property in Madina or Jeddah.

Are there any future plans you can share?

To further expand within the commercial hubs of Saudi Arabia, AKMC is looking at various options as our immediate goal is to have five new properties in our management portfolio within the next couple of years, with the next target being a luxury hotel or resort in Jeddah and in the kingdom’s Eastern Province.
