IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) is expanding its Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio in Italy with the signing of a new Kimpton hotel in Rome, scheduled to open in 2029.
Owned by Castello Sgr’s Rome Hotel Development Fund, the
114-room property will transform an existing building in the prestigious Via
Veneto district into a luxury lifestyle destination.
Facilities will
include a rooftop bar and restaurant, internal courtyard, wellness amenities
and meeting and event spaces.
A key feature will be the restoration of an existing
theatre, which will be converted into a multifunctional arts and events venue
designed to serve both hotel guests and the local community.
The signing strengthens IHG’s growing presence in Italy,
which now includes 33 operating hotels and 21 in the pipeline.
It will be the
company’s second Kimpton property in Italy, following Kimpton Villa Miramare
Taormina.
