Casa Caprile has opened in Anacapri, offering travellers a secluded island retreat designed around local heritage, contemporary style and the slower pace of life on Capri.
The 19th-century property opened on April 1,2027 and is set
across 10,000 square metres of Mediterranean gardens.
Located in Anacapri, known for its quieter atmosphere and
historic landmarks, the 12-room property has been designed as a private home
away from home.
Gabriella Russo, who has been involved with JK Place Capri
since its inception, is leading the project.
“This project is deeply linked to Anacapri and its cultural
heritage. Set off the beaten path, Casa Caprile welcomes travellers seeking
more than beautiful accommodation. It is a home where guests can escape and
hide away in expansive gardens, with meticulous attention to detail.”
The villa’s rooms and suites feature individual designs,
with options ranging from village and sea views to Junior Suites with private
terraces and suites with private pools.
Mediterranean materials, artisanal details and natural
elements are central to the interiors.
At the heart of the gardens is an outdoor swimming pool
featuring a magnesium purification system.
The pool can be heated throughout the year and cooled during
warmer months.
Casa Caprile’s restaurant follows a farm-to-table approach
centred on Neapolitan and Caprese cuisine.
The chef consults guests daily on their dinner preferences,
creating customised meals based on fresh seasonal ingredients.
Guests can also arrange guided trekking routes, sightseeing
experiences across Capri and private airport transfers to and from Naples
International Airport.
The property aims to operate year-round, offering an
alternative to Capri’s traditional summer season.
Russo said the quieter months provide an opportunity to
experience Anacapri’s local character.
“I am originally from Anacapri, and opening Casa Caprile’s
doors has given me the opportunity to help our guests discover the true Dolce
Vita, not only in summer, but especially off-season, when true Capri lovers
come to stay,” says Gabriella Russo.
Restoration was led by architect Antonio Girardi, combining
contemporary design with the villa’s historic character.
Ivory tones, red accents, natural woods, artisanal ceramics
and fabrics from Pierre Frey and Schumacher complement original-inspired
features including cotto tiles and hand-painted plaster.
The result is a luxury retreat that combines historic character, modern comfort and a strong connection to Anacapri’s landscape and cultural identity. -TTN
