World cultures come together at the opening ceremony. The month-long Dubai Shopping Festival, DSF2002, kept the emirate buzzing with visitors from throughout the Gulf and elsewhere, offering an amazing variety of entertainment events and shopping attractions.. The event which opened with an extravagant ceremony on March 1, also offered visitors to Dubai a host of attractive promotions including a Nissan Patrol, a daily Lexus giveaway and gold. It also marked the opening of Chidren's City, a new attraction offering entertainment and education for children.
