
THE recent annual Hotel Stars Awards, at which InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) recognises outstanding performances from properties and staff, saw Crowne Plaza Jeddah triumph in two categories.
The hotel received the Torchbearer Award for properties that go that extra mile to achieve outstanding levels of service as measured by IHG’s overall satisfaction index and boss Rafique Izhiman was announced as 2010 General Manager of the Year in recognition of his outstanding achievements and contributions to both the hotel and the brand.
The winners are chosen from IHG’s 700 properties across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Izhiman said: “This award recognises all the hard work and team effort we’ve put in this year. We’re constantly striving to go the extra mile so guests can expect a consistently top-notch experience when visiting our hotel and we’ll continue to work together to keep delivering the same experience each year.”
