WITH tourism in Dubai recording strong growth trends, The Address Hotels & Resorts is confident of a robust performance year in 2011.
Marc Dardenne, CEO of parent company Emaar Hospitality Group and Emaar Hotels & Resorts, says: “With clear signs of an economic revival we are confident of attracting both leisure and business tourists from across the Mena region, the Indian subcontinent, China and South Asia.”
Business across all five properties of The Address portfolio has been extremely encouraging with strong occupancy figures and the group contributing significantly to Emaar’s revenue stream.
“We recently announced our expansion to Asia by signing a management agreement to operate the The Address, The Terrace - Bali, a luxury retreat in Pecatu Indah Resort in Bali,” added Dardenne. “And we will continue to focus on growth opportunities in emerging markets in the Mena region as well as the Indian subcontinent and South Asia.
“The travel and tourism sector is integrally linked to the overall performance of the economy. With countries like China, the GCC and India, among others, recording healthy growth, there are positive trends in business travel too. Expansion of regional airlines, including Emirates, to new destinations is another catalyst for the tourism and hospitality sector. We see new markets from the Mena region, the Indian subcontinent and South Asia contributing to the hospitality sector in terms of visitor arrivals and new opportunities for development,” added Dardenne.
