A seven-in-one-event to be held in Bahrain next month will put the spotlight on the best practical methods used in the field of human resource management.
The International Federation of Training & Development Organisations' (IFTDO) 31st World Conference and Exhibition will be held at the Gulf Hotel's Gulf International Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 21-24. The event, to be held under the patronage of Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, is being hosted by the Bahrain Society for Training and Development (BSTD). It is the first to be held in the Arabian Gulf. "The conference and exhibition will provide an ideal opportunity to discover the latest developments in human resource management issues and uncover how leading world-class organisations have achieved success in a competitive global marketplace through people and knowledge development," said the organisers. It is being held under the theme "The Power of Knowledge in the New Era" and seven tracks have been built around this theme. They are: Performance Excellence, Employee Development, Corporate University & E-learning, E-HR & Transformation, Knowledge Management, Performance and Rewards, and Leadership Lessons, focussing on corporate success stories. Some of the world's best human resource experts will speak on these topics led by Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohammed who is the guest of honour speaker.
