Grand Hotel Kadri undergoes major refurbishment

AS IT prepares to celebrate its hundredth anniversary next year, Lebanon’s Grand Hotel Kadri is in the process of a major refurbishment.

Renovations began in May throughout the rooms (pictured) including décor, furnishings, beds, linens, curtains, lighting and upgrade of the mini-bars plus the addition of espresso machines in the suites.

The conference rooms have also been redesigned and benefit from new technology equipment and an outdoor children’s playground has been installed.

In September Grand Hotel Kadri will launch a spa and in January/February next year the pool and wedding areas will be upgraded.

Situated in the throbbing heart of Zahle, 54 Km from the capital Beirut, the five-star property sits on the famous Berdawni River, a 40-minute drive from the ancient Roman ruins of Baalbeck, Anjar and many others.

The 105 rooms come in four categories, ranging from standard and executive rooms to junior and presidential suites.

The hotel also houses a business centre and three well-equipped meeting rooms with capacity for up to 1,000 guests.

Le BK, La Terrace and Upper Lobby offer a wide variety of the best of Lebanese and international cuisine and the hotel has a range of recreational facilities including health club, sauna and an outdoor swimming pool.

And for a special honeymoon or wedding anniversary, the honeymoon suite is the ideal place to enjoy a candle-lit dinner followed by a quiet bubble bath with special aromas and roses petals completing this one of a kind experience.

Since 1999, Grand Hotel Kadri has been the main host of Baalbeck International Festivals. This year’s festival runs until mid-August and the there are a range of special discounts and packages on offer including dinner, overnight accommodation and morning breakfast, tickets for the festival, shuttle service and VIP treatment at the festival.

There area also other packages available throughout August for families, honeymooners and groups.

And for nature and adventure lovers, the hotel can organise activities such as rafting, horseback riding, ATV, hiking and cave discovery and cultural tours can also be arranged.

Activities and special events to mark Grand Hotel Kadri’s century will be announced later in the year.
