Gulf Air changes Beirut flight schedule

BAHRAINI national carrier Gulf Air, which operates daily flights between Bahrain and Beirut, has changed its flight schedule due to popular demand from its customers.

Effective July14, there is now one daily flight departing from Bahrain at 11.30am reaching Beirut at 2.25pm and departing Beirut at 3.10pm reaching Bahrain at 5.55pm.  The airline previously operated a split schedule with flights leaving early morning on certain days and evenings on other days during the week.

The airline will also be using an Airbus 320 to accommodate more passengers instead of the current mixed fleet of A319 and Embraer.

“Since we resumed flights to Beirut last month, we have seen a dramatic increase in bookings; however many of our customers felt that a late morning flight would be more convenient for them to check into hotels on arrival in Beirut and start their business or do shopping,” said Gulf Air area commercial manager Abdulmalik ALSaei.

“The revised schedule is just a small example to show that Gulf Air always listens to its customers and serves to suit their needs.  With the new timings, customers travelling from Beirut to the Indian sub-continent and other Asian destinations will have faster connections in Bahrain” added ALSaei.
