Marriott International has signed an agreement with FICO Corporation to add seven hotels and 1,262 rooms to its portfolio in Thailand, expanding its presence across Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket.

The multi-property deal will bring the JW Marriott brand to a new location while introducing three brands to Thailand for the first time: citizenM, Four Points Flex by Sheraton and Series by Marriott.

“We are delighted to further strengthen our relationship with FICO Corporation through this significant expansion in Thailand. This growing portfolio reflects a shared vision for the future of hospitality – one that embraces evolving traveller preferences, distinctive lifestyle experiences and destinations designed for holistic wellbeing and meaningful connection. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with FICO to bring this vision to life across Thailand’s dynamic urban and leisure destinations,” said Rajeev Menon, President, Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International.

In Bangkok, the 288-key JW Marriott Bangkok Sathorn is expected to combine luxury hospitality with urban living, offering sports and fitness facilities and lifestyle spaces focused on wellbeing and social connection.

The 147-key citizenM Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 will mark citizenM’s debut in Thailand, combining technology, contemporary design and service with food and beverage offerings in Sukhumvit.

Three Four Points Flex by Sheraton properties will also mark the brand’s Thai debut. The hotels include the 162-key Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit 8, 130-key Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Sukhumvit 14 and 201-key Four Points Flex by Sheraton Bangkok Surawong. The properties are planned near Bangkok’s BTS Skytrain network and will focus on reliability, efficiency and value.

In Pattaya and Phuket, Marriott’s Series by Marriott brand will make its Thailand debut with the 192-key Easy Planet North Pattaya, Series by Marriott, and 142-key Easy Planet Phuket Patong, Series by Marriott.

The brand is designed to offer approachable stays reflecting the character of individual destinations.

“For me, hospitality has always been about more than simply providing a place to stay. It is about creating places where people feel good, connect with others and enjoy how they spend their time. As we look ahead, I believe wellness, sports and lifestyle will play an increasingly important role in how people travel and live. This expansion gives us the opportunity to bring that thinking into our hospitality portfolio and create experiences that are relevant not only to our guests, but also to the communities around us. We are excited to continue this journey with Marriott International and to build something meaningful together in Thailand,” commented Krit Srichawla, Chairman, FICO Corporation.

The agreement builds on an existing partnership between Marriott and FICO spanning four hotels in Bangkok. The expanded collaboration will bring the companies’ joint portfolio to 11 hotels across eight brands, including three new brand entries in Thailand. -TTN
