Following this year’s successful event, Messe Berlin (Singapore), organiser of ITB Asia, has promised an expanded Mice component at next year’s trade show to meet growing demand.
And the 2010 event will include a two-day associations programme.
ITB Asia will work with industry trade bodies such as the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), The Centre for Association Leadership, which will provide material, and Suntec Singapore to develop the programme.
The increased Mice focus is aimed at attracting exhibitors such as convention centres, resorts and hotels, professional conference organisers and others in the Mice industry from around the Asian region.
The new programme will be built on two key elements: pre-scheduled appointments and an impressive speaker line-up.
Dr Martin Buck, director of Messe Berlin (Singapore), said: “Our focus will be on expanding ITB Asia by introducing the growing associations meeting sector. We will invite a compelling international group of speakers.”
He added that negotiations are in place with other industry leaders and high-level partnerships are expected to be cemented over the next few months.
