Rotana highlights Lebanese offering with tourism push

Developing regional tourism and promoting both new and existing properties, Rotana Hotels Lebanon has announced its first time participation at the World Travel Market (WTM 2009).

Joseph Coubat, area vice president for Rotana Lebanon, Qatar, Bahrain & Kuwait said: “Maintaining and building on our excellent name in the industry and our high international profile, Rotana will be well represented at WTM 2009, which is a move that underlines our commitment to Lebanon’s tourism and to further strengthing the company’s leading role in the region and expansion plans in Lebanon.

“Rotana will use the platform of WTM 2009 to help promote Lebanon as a tourism destination and our properties based there”.

Rotana currently operates two properties in Beirut, the former ‘Pearl of the Middle East’, Hazmieh Rotana and Gefinor Rotana.

In mid October, Rotana opened its third hotel in Lebanon, Raouché Arjaan by Rotana, located in the heart of the capital on the famous Raouché Boulevard and before the end of 2010, the company will launch the Solidère Rotana in the newly rebuilt historical city centre of Beirut.

“Our participation at WTM 2009 is to support our business from the UK, which has always been one of our major markets. Also, we will be showcasing our product offering and promoting our two existing properties and the opening of our first property under our newly launched brand Arjaan Hotel Apartments by Rotana. The climate, the lifestyle, the offerings and choice, the scenery, history and of course the tourist sites are everything that makes Lebanon an attractive destination and we want to ensure promoting this fact about the destination around the world,” concluded Coubat.

Rotana will be participating under the Lebanon Ministry of Tourism stand ME 6750.
