Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group (DTG) MENA and Asia Pacific will be looking to develop new partnerships with European counterparts at this year’s WTM.

DTG licensees from Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and India will also attend the exhibition to showcase their product and service portfolio specific to business travellers and tourists from Europe to the region.

“This year, we noticed that a number of businesses in Europe have been looking to set up offices and increase their business activity in the Gulf countries and in India,” said Sam Eltibi, executive director, Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group MENA and Asia-Pacific.

“Our business has greatly benefited from these travellers to the region who prefer to rent vehicles during their visits. DTG is looking at developing a number of new corporate relationships in the region for these companies.”

Also attending the exhibition will be president and CEO of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Scott Thompson.

He said: “We expect to be busier than ever for the four days of the event, as the economy has caused business development to go back to basics.

“European businesses are now restructuring and revisiting their core business competencies, with a spotlight on emerging international markets. As a flexible service provider, it is important to spend time with our potential and existing customers in order to understand their business needs and align our offerings accordingly.”
