Koh Samui hosts Skal congress

Skal International Koh Samui hosted the Skal Asian Area Congress  last month, which the first international tourism event ever to be held there.

More than 100 international tourism professionals visited the island.
Skal is a professional organisation of tourism leaders around the world, promoting global tourism and friendship. It is the only international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry.
This year’s congress highlighted the popularity and reputation of Koh Samui as a first class holiday destination in southeast Asia. As international Skal members are all representatives of the travel and tourism industry, such as travel agencies, hotels and airlines, their feedback from the congress will generate important and long term follow up businesses for the Samui travel scene. Both the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and TCEB (Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau) supported the event to raise awareness for Koh Samui and Thailand as world class travel destinations.
Skal International Koh Samui was established in April 2004 and with more than 100 members is one of the biggest Skal club in Thailand.
