Al Mafraq Hotel undergoes a facelift

A new look at the Mafraq Hotel Abu Dhabi

One of the closest hotels to Abu Dhabi International Airport, the Al Mafraq Hotel, is set to undergo a major transformation in 2008.

Recently acquired by one of the largest investment companies in the Gulf region, the hotel renovations, along with substantial landscaping work, are aiming to give hotel guests the Arabian experience they desire.
Each of the 121 hotel rooms overlooks a panoramic view of the beautiful landscaped gardens. Recent upgrades include a move to superior room category having added features such as extra room space, broadband internet access and in room tea and coffee facilities. The hotel is also offering fitness facilities complemented by swimming pools, sauna, jacuzzi and steam rooms along with play areas for children and sporting options such as tennis and squash courts.
A variety of dining options include the Oasis Restaurant, Terrace Café and the Hunter’s Pub with live entertainment or the 24 hour room service for those who prefer to dine en suite.
For business travellers are two conference and meeting rooms with up to date audio visual presentation facilities.
“The property is to undergo a full make over in 2008. Design development on the new project already begun and expected to take 18 months for completion,” said Ghassan Fares, the hotel’s general manager.
