Swiss hotel group Movenpick Hotels and Resorts has appointed Andreas Mattmuller as its senior vice president for Middle East.
Mattmuller, a 47-year-old Swiss national, was previously the operations director for Asia and Europe at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, based in Hong Kong. He takes over from Hussein Ismail, who moves to Movenpick Hotel Cairo Heliopolis as the new general manager there. Matmuller, who gratuated from Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, started his career with various hotels in Switzerland.
