ONE month after its soft opening, Tala Bay launched its scenic, state-of-the-art marina last month, welcoming an international collection of sailing yachts.
The marina is an integral part of Tala Bay, the first resort of its kind in Jordan. The comprehensive 2700-dunum resort built on a two kilometre strip of unspoilt beach, will include over 1500 residential units, five hotels, boutiques, restaurants, a golf course and an aqua park. The resort, just a boat trip away from the Egyptian resort of Taba, is set to become of the key destinations on the Red Sea.
The Tala Bay Marina is sheltered and directly on the Gulf of Aqaba, Red Sea, in an excellent location serving both the city of Aqaba and Jordan. Tala Bay is located along one of the most beautiful coral reefs, within the Aqaba Marine Park, with suitable swimming conditions, clear water and breathtaking view. There are several mooring buoys along the coastline of Tala Bay, located off the shore. The Marina also offers state-of-the-art facilities, adhering to the highest level of international standards.
Tala Bay consists of many attractions within its 2,671,000 sqm, including a 2km stretch of beach on the Red Sea, residences in different compositions, several hotels, leisure activities; including golf, beach club and aqua park.
New waterfront developments
Jordan’s Ayla Oasis Development Co is creating a world-class waterfront development in the Red Sea city of Aqaba in the south of the Kingdom. The development is expected to dramatically transform Aqaba by creating an additional 17km of seafront from a 235 m strip on the Gulf of Aqaba. Ayla Oasis will be featured at the Middle East Travel and Tourism Summit that will take place in Jordan on February 26 and 27, 2006.
The development scheme, built around a series of man-made lagoons and water canals, includes five up-market hotels ranging between 90 to 600 hotel beds; 3000 residential units; an 18-hole Signature golf course; a 9-hole golf academy; as well as a town center that encompasses a marina, retail units, cafés, entertainment and recreational facilities.
Also at the summit will be Saraya Jordan, the main and diamond sponsor of the event.
Saraya Jordan, a real estate development private shareholding corporation, is embarking on a large scale state-of-the-art project in Aqaba, Jordan’s Red Sea city, estimated to cost $600 million. Saraya Aqaba is a beachfront development that comprises approximately 610,000 square meters of mixed-use property. The development will be built around a man-made lagoon that will add 1.5km of beachfront to the marine city. Saraya Aqaba includes five 5-star hotels; residences ranging from beachfront villas to townhouses to apartments; a water park; a convention center; a wharf promenade; an outdoor amphitheatre and an old souk. Jumeirah, the Dubai-based hospitality group, will operate three of the development’s five luxury hotels, in addition to its water-park. Saraya Aqaba will be completed in 2009.
$1billion Royal Metropolis project
THE Gulf Finance House (GFH), unveiled recently the master plan for the $1bn Royal Village, in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Royal Village, situated approximately 20 minutes from the centre of Amman, will be developed over a site of 468,000 sqm. It will comprise a gated landscaped environment with up to 400 villas, 600 apartments and appropriate support facilities.
