Egypt is strengthening its position as a global travel destination with the introduction of the Egypt eVisa Online, a digital platform designed to simplify entry for international visitors.
The system allows travellers to apply for visas online before arrival, eliminating the need to visit embassies or complete paperwork. The initiative aims to make travel to Egypt more convenient while streamlining arrival procedures.
The move reflects a broader global shift toward digital visa systems, as countries adopt technology to support international tourism.
Tourism remains a key pillar of Egypt’s economy, attracting visitors to landmarks such as the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx and the temples of Luxor and Karnak, as well as Red Sea destinations including Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada.
The eVisa initiative is expected to enhance accessibility and improve the visitor experience.
