Shah receives his award from DTCM heritage sites and events manager Awadh Al Seghayer.

Chef Kishor Shah of Jumeirah Beach Hotel had the right recipe for top honours at the Dubai food surprises week.

Shah was named the Middle East Junior Chef of the Year 2001 with three gold medals in the competition organised as part of the Dubai Summer Surprises which runs until the end of August.

The culinary contest was organised by the Emirates Culinary Guild under the auspices of the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

Gayan De Silva of Hotel Intercontinental Dubai and Raghu Prasad of Emirates Towers Hotel won the second and third prizes respectively.
