JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, which has been exhibiting at ibtm arabia ever since the hotel’s opening in 2013, will focus on promoting the hotel as an incentive and business travel destination and also try to grab new business opportunities at the show this year.

ibtm arabia provides the platform for meetings with customers from different parts of the world and being exposed to current international Mice trends and needs, says Daria Novikova, business development manager Groups, JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, which was in 2015 named the Best Business Hotel in Dubai by the Business Traveller magazine and the Leading Mice Hotel Middle East by the World Travel Awards.

The show also offers the opportunity to promote the hotel to various markets and business segments, she tells TTN.

'All participating customers are interested in arranging events in the Middle East and getting to know this region better. There is no substitute for meeting your customers face-to-face. It strengthens the existing network and expands it to new horizons.

IBTM Arabia also creates relationship building opportunities with buyers and suppliers outside of the meeting rooms.

On the strategies embarked upon the hotel to tap into the Mice segment in an era of tight competition, she says: 'In this fast-changing market we have to quickly adapt, accommodate last minute bookings, provide clients with outstanding and creative offers and respond to clients’ needs with strategic initiatives.'
