Darwish… converting lookers into bookers

RETAJ Hotels & Hospitality of Qatar has revamped its website – www.retaj-hotels.com – in order to attract more business online.

Set up as a property development company in Doha in 2004, Retaj launched its website in 2011 after conducting extensive market surveys about customer expectations.

“We have now adjusted our website to fully comply with new online expectations. Our website is informative, easy to book with, search-friendly and attractive to our customers,” says Mohamed Darwish, corporate director of marketing and e-commerce.

“Retaj Hotels aim to drive more traffic to its web platform and convert the lookers into bookers,” continues Darwish, who is also in charge of the business development of the group.

“Retaj seeks to meet the traveller’s budget, whether for leisure or business. The aim is to not fully depend on online travel agencies but more on our own resources,” he adds.

Retaj expanded its portfolio outside Qatar with the launch of the 187-room Retaj Royale Istanbul, located in the heart of the Turkish capital’s business district, in early 2013. The property’s facilities include a main à la carte restaurant, an executive lounge for business meetings, a spacious health club, a heated indoor pool and Turkish hamam.

“Retaj is always surprising its guests and we will always be sure to serve our customers with the highest standards in hospitality,” he concludes.
