Online tool eases rail bookings for agents

WITH demand for European destination on the rise from the Middle East, travel agents in the region are being encouraged to log in to one of Europe’s leading online booking tools to make rail bookings in Germany, and beyond, more accessible.

The RailClient is an online booking tool designed by Deutsche Bahn which allows registered users to issue rail tickets for the domestic and international DB rail network.  

The DB RailClient facilitates the handling of leisure and business customers for agencies providing cross-border connections to 16 European countries with origin or destination in Germany (Europa-Spezial). The tool is has no initial or fulfilment costs, no security deposit and payments can be settled using credit cards. It helps agents in efficiently making bookings and will have access to domestic and international DB services as well as DB’s special fare for European cross-border connections starting at 30 euros. The site offers user-friendly navigation and all tickets are available as PDF.

Travellers can enjoy high flexibility with open access to DB trains (reservation non-compulsory) and high frequencies with short travel times. Agents can register on www.db-rc.com.

Deutsche Bahn is one of the world’s leading passenger transportation companies, carrying about two billion passengers per year and operating 25,500 passenger trains per day. It offers 250 direct connections, in cooperation with other railways, to neighbouring countries as well as long-distance services to 80 foreign cities and Inter City Express (ICE) train sets that operate internationally in six countries in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.

Travellers who wish to make their own booking can utilise DB’s B2C tool, bahn.com, which enables them to log on and book to any sector in Germany and beyond.
