SABRE Travel Network Middle East or Sabre has announced a new agreement with Saad Transport (Saad), a top agency in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, to provide state-of-the-art travel technology products for their corporate accounts.

Saad is set to implement the Sabre Red Workspace, Sabre software that enables travel agents to shop, book and manage travel, and GetThere, Sabre’s premier online travel, meetings and expense corporate booking solution.

Daniel Naoumovitch, Sabre’s chief executive welcomed Saad Transport into the Sabre fold. “Saad Transport will be the first agent in Lebanon to implement and use our corporate booking tool for their clients in the region. In the months to come, Sabre’s products will vastly improve customer service and increase Saad’s operational efficiency helping them keep up with their growing customer base,” said Naoumovitch.

Amine Nasser, general manager, Saad Transport, commented “Sabre’s products will help us service our top customers more effectively and run our business more efficiently. Maximising the potential of our staff, Sabre has helped train them in these new products and we are already seeing remarkable results. With faster turnaround time for a customer’s request, the increase in efficiency will make a positive difference on our balance sheet at the end of the year.”

Further, Etihad Airways has started implementing its latest tranche of Sabre software following the billion dollar technology agreement signed by the two companies last year.

As part of Etihad Airways’ on-going drive to create the world’s most efficient airline technology infrastructure, it has adopted Sabre’s codeshare, network and fleet management software to enhance planning and scheduling operations.

Etihad Airways is also Sabre’s launch partner for the network manager software, a program that allows airlines to make intelligent schedule adjustments to improve connectivity through hubs. The fine-tuning of schedules allows the airline to maximise connecting-traffic revenue, while delivering the best possible service to passengers.
