MILLENNIUM Abu Dhabi is the capital’s five-star business lifestyle hotel on Khalifa Street with its 325 rooms overlooking the Capital Garden on one side and the Corniche on the other. The property which opened doors in March 2002 is still considered one of the pillars of the hospitality industry in Abu Dhabi. The hotel, which will be showcased at the World Travel Market, has witnessed tremendous changes with some revolutionary plans, in its finalization process, lined up for the year ahead. The Hotel offers 325 well-appointed guestrooms & suites and a wide range of culinary options, which include three restaurants, two bars, lobby lounge, swimming pool and a fitness centre.
“Local and international corporate markets, represent the major share of the Millennium Hotel Abu Dhabi,” says Moine Kandil, general manager of the Hotel. We have developed a tailor-made strategy to suit and attract all markets by going back to basics concentrating on what is important for our customers, ‘Value for money’ delivered with the sense of efficiency and comfort in elegant surrounding with a ‘Yes We Can motto’. We have witnessed a big change in the market dynamics. The occupancy rate and revenue both increased over the year.”
“Although the Millennium Hotel Abu Dhabi is a typical business Hotel yet inbound corporate and leisure sectors increased tremendously with the help of various factors that contributed in promoting our property and introducing it to as many multinational accounts as possible. No doubt that the UAE has managed to position itself in the last 10 years as the destination for both leisure and business travellers in the region where hotels concentrated in developing and introducing new products to fit with the overall futuristic plan set for both the country and the region, explained Kandil.
Kandil is confident that while Abu Dhabi continues to see much development in the hotel industry, the Millennium Hotel is definitely going to be part of this boom. The Millennium & Copthorne (M&C) Mena announced plans for a corporate restructure last month, which will see the group looking at opportunities for its brands in Africa. The brands include Grand Millennium, Millennium, Copthorne, Kingsgate and their newest luxury brand Biltmore.
