MICROS Systems, a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, has introduced an Arabic version of its Micros Simphony point-of-service (POS) solution for hotels, resorts, casinos, cruise ships and restaurants.

The POS aims to bring cost savings, more centralised control and improved flexibility to businesses across the hospitality industry supporting them with a range of single- and multiple-site operations utilising on-demand applications while also enabling the integration of business functions such as property management systems, kitchen-display systems and credit card interfaces.

A core feature of Simphony is its linking of POS transactions and back-office functions, enabling more efficient operations management, increasing employee productivity and improving guest services. Furthermore, Simphony offers all the benefits of a centrally hosted management system. All applications can be easily maintained and new applications quickly and efficiently deployed.

Another key benefit of Micros Simphony is its scalability enabling it to be implemented across businesses ranging in size from tens, hundreds or even thousands of workstations, which may be spread over multiple geographical locations.

Scheduled to be fully released for the Middle East market in July, Micros Simphony will fully support both Arabic user interfaces and POS receipt printing.
