SET in the heart of a tropical island paradise the Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita (pictured) is the ideal summer getaway for families looking to combine island adventure with a secluded beachfront holiday.
Bordered by one of Mauritius’ largest lagoons, the still, shallow waters make it ideal for kids and teens to experience the great outdoors and learn new skills such as wind surfing, wake boarding and sailing.
This summer, the resort is offering guests a chance to escape and adventure with a summer special that promises an idyllic retreat, signature Four Seasons service and the chance to enjoy three complimentary nights’ stay.
Running until September 30, 2011, the Summer Special offers complimentary fifth, sixth and seventh nights when four consecutive nights are booked in any of the resort’s luxurious one-, two- and three-bedroom villas (accommodation only), except the Presidential Villa.
The deal includes breakfast at Beau Champ restaurant or through in-villa dining and a three-course evening meal at any of the resort’s restaurants each day (excluding beverages).
Guests can also enjoy complimentary golf on the Ernie Els-designed course, including green fees, GPS-equipped golf cart and a pyramid of 55 balls (fee applies for additional balls). There is also an  array of water sports, including water-skiing.
The resort’s five-bedroom Grand Residence Villas and the ability to interconnect villas  makes it the perfect choice for families holidaying together. All villas feature stunning pool, lagoon, beach or garden views, with outdoor terraces to linger over meals or catch the sunset.
For young children, the resort offers the complimentary ‘Hobbit Village’ Kids’ Club, featuring puppet shows in a dedicated amphitheatre, making pizza in the kids’ kitchen or splashing about in the children’s pool. The young adults’ centre, Karokan, is designed to appeal to teenagers with table tennis, a pool table, the latest video game consoles, a home cinema, a DJ booth and an extensive programme of outdoor activities scheduled every day, ranging from football and hiking to volleyball and kayaking.
The resort also offers four restaurants – the contemporary steakhouse, Beau Champ, Acquapazza showcasing the various regional cuisines of Italy, the Pan-Asian Bambou and international cuisine with a modern twist at Le Club – offering enough variety for even the most adventurous palate.
