KEMPINSKI Hotels recently announced the signing of a management agreement for a new property in the Seychelles scheduled for soft opening in September 2011.
The luxury hotel group, which recently received the prestigious German ‘Best Brands’ award in the category of Best Service Provider, believes the new property will complement its growing portfolio in the Indian Ocean.
“We are proud of this new project as it will not only add value to our portfolio by marking our entrance in this exclusive market but also to the destination itself,” said Ulrich Eckhardt, Kempinski president for the Middle East and Africa.
The new Seychelles Kempinski Resort will be located at Baie Lazare, on the island of Mahé a 30-minute drive from the international airport.
The property will have 173 stylishly decorated rooms and suites, most of them offering views of the Indian Ocean.
A wide variety of culinary treats will be available including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant and a beach bar.
Other features include a long stretch of white, sandy beach, a spa with six treatment rooms, swimming pool, a kids’ club, fully-equipped gym, tennis courts, water sports centre and a casino.
Banqueting and conference facilities for up to 200 people will also be available.
