Fazekas... Ramada Plaza readies for a June opening

THE Ramada Plaza Jumeirah Beach Residence is the latest addition on the bustling Jumeirah Beach Residence and The Walk. Scheduled to open in June the new hotel offers 356 units, including Deluxe Studios, Superior rooms and suites, lofts, penthouses, two, three and four bedroom apartments.

The hotel enjoys close proximity to business zones like Dubai Media City, Knowledge Village, and Jebel Ali Free Zone.

Tamas Fazekas, general manager of the new hotel says, “Our location on Jumeirah Beach Residence with easy access to the shopping centre and the beach positions us well as a leisure business hotel. Also based on configuration of our hotel, we expect to see a lot of interest from the GCC families.

Having said that, since we aren’t a resort hotel, we do expect to capture a fair share of the corporate travel market.”

“The hotel is called the Ramada Plaza, the Plaza being the brand’s highest tier, which means our guests can expect the best and latest in technology, service quality and other specifications including meeting rooms, the Executive Lounge and floors,” said Fazekas.

“The decision to open a Ramada Plaza brand property at Jumeirah Beach Residence was well supported by our owning company, the Wyndham Group and we are competing against other renowned brands including Hilton and Sofitel.”

The Ramada Plaza Jumeirah Beach Residence will offer guests a selection of tastefully designed food & beverage outlets offering various cuisines. Fazekas adds, “We are particularly proud to announce three signature restaurants including an American Bar on the podium level, which is a unique concept on The Walk.

On the 35the level, we will have a Brazilian restaurant flanked with a BBQ section as well as a Sky lounge shisha bar on the 35th floor.”

Other facilities at the hotel include a health club with Technogym equipment, temperature controlled outdoor swimming pool with refreshment corner, treatment rooms offering massages and cosmetic treatments and a beauty salon.

One of the biggest challenges for the property today is to maintain a strong RevPar as the hotel opens doors; however Fazekas is quick to add that Dubai’s booming hospitality scene combined with the Ramada Plaza product automatically puts them in a stronger position today.

“With a soft opening in mid-June, we are already available in the market for bookings and expect to make a grand opening after the summer months, by September,” adds Fazekas.
