TRAVEL agents aiming to add value to their service and offer customers increased information about the destinations they are visiting can direct iPhone and iPad users towards a new application which allows them to download information on all 911 Unesco World Heritage Sites.
The application will prove useful to holiday makers as it offers extensive information on each site including locations, transport, opening times and even details of local customs in areas such as temples.
Data is taken from the official Unesco guidebook and features location maps of all the sites, 650 pictures, the facility to view and search sites by name, country or classification plus users can bookmark favourite sites and plot them on Google maps.
The application can also be viewed by iPad, and will be updated each year as further World Heritage Sites are announced.
