Desert X AlUla 2026 welcomed its first visitors during the pre-opening day of its fourth edition yesterday (15th January), with guests from around the world exploring monumental, site-responsive earthworks, sculptures, and installations set within AlUla’s dramatic landscape.
Presented by Arts AlUla in collaboration with Desert X, the landmark edition features awe-inspiring works by 11 pioneering artists from across disciplines, rooted in relationships to AlUla’s dynamic and distinct environment. A highlight of the fifth AlUla Arts Festival 2026, the highly anticipated public art biennale is part of the pre-opening programme of Wadi AlFann, an emerging global cultural destination for monumental art in the landscape.Running from January 16 to February 28, Desert X AlUla 2026 is curated by Wejdan Reda and Zoé Whitley, with Neville Wakefield and Raneem Farsi returning as 2026 Artistic Directors.
