Plaza Premium Group launches global family travel programme

Share

Plaza Premium Group (PPG) has launched Plaza Petit, its first global family programme, designed to make airport waiting time more engaging and comfortable for children and their families.

The programme is debuting at selected airport lounges and transit hotels in Hong Kong, Toronto and London, with a phased rollout planned across PPG’s international network.

Plaza Petit introduces dedicated family-friendly spaces featuring reading corners, play activities, educational resources and child-friendly dining.

The initiative aims to help young travellers explore and relax while enabling parents and caregivers to enjoy a more comfortable airport experience.

At the heart of the programme is a partnership with global education non-profit Room to Read, which promotes children’s literacy and life skills, including gender equality.

Each Plaza Petit zone features a Story Corner stocked with age-appropriate books in multiple languages, alongside access to Room to Read’s Literacy Cloud digital library, offering thousands of storybooks in 48 languages.

The programme also includes travel-themed activity kits, colouring materials, destination stickers, balanced children’s meals, specialised tableware and baby-food warming services.

The spaces feature sustainable light-oak furniture, child-sized seating and rounded safety edges.

Initial locations include Plaza Premium Lounges at Hong Kong International Airport, Toronto Pearson International Airport and London Gatwick Airport, as well as Aerotel at London Heathrow Airport.

PPG said future expansion is planned across key international gateways, including Dubai, Helsinki, Jakarta, Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Muscat, Phnom Penh and Rome.

Each installation will also include a donation point supporting Room to Read’s global literacy and gender-equality programmes, allowing travelling families to contribute to the organisation’s educational initiatives. -TTN
