Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts and Habitat for Humanity Africa & the Middle East have announced the continuation of their partnership to help provide affordable housing for families and communities in Tanzania.
They are also celebrating the collection of $14,000 from the Mövenpick Royal Palm Hotel in Dar es Salaam towards the programme.
This partnership between the two organisations was established in Tanzania in February 2008. Since then, it has helped 20 families in Tanzania to improve their standard of living and enhance facilities in their communities.
Founded in 1976, Habitat for Humanity International has built more than 350,000 houses around the world and has provided more than 1.75 million people in 3,000 communities with safe, decent and affordable shelter.
Since February 2008, Mövenpick has raised $20,000 to help towards projects in Tanzania, in-line with the company’s commitment to social responsibility and sustainability in the communities where it operates.
