Le Méridien launches teens’ club

Le Méridien Al Aqah, a leading contributor to the growing tourism industry on the east coast of Fujairah, UAE, is participating at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) for the seventh consecutive year.  Along with its commitment to social and environmental awareness initiatives, the hotel continues to improve its offering with new additions and enhancements.

This year at ATM it will be showcasing its newly launched Teens Club Al Aqah; the latest leisure initiative which caters to guests aged between 13 and 16.  The club is complete with the latest-technology facilities, including an internet centre with safety screening to ensure the websites are teen-friendly.

The facilities also include video games, Wii challenge, cinema room, DVD library, mini-gym, aerobic room, squash court, book library and billiards room.

The club offers a variety of scheduled activities, updated regularly with the latest trends and technology, and is supervised by qualified entertainers from the resort to ensure teens have an ideal opportunity to make new friends and socialise during their holiday.

Teens Club Al Aqah is located in the resort’s basement level, near Spa Al Aqah so gives parents an ideal chance to pamper themselves while their teens have fun.

Another recent addition, Sapore, the resort’s latest dining outlet, is a stylish Italian restaurant which was created at a cost of Dh9 million ($2.4 million) to complement the resort’s existing restaurants. It is set in an idyllic location overlooking the Indian Ocean and offers a unique combination of contemporary and classical Italian cuisine, in addition to a full range of beverages to bring out the exquisite taste of the dishes.

Guests can opt for al fresco dining, during the cooler months, or can choose to eat indoors and enjoy the ambient music, with trendy Italian music at lunchtime and more classical music at dinner. The majority of products have been painstakingly sourced from Italy, to ensure the cuisine is authentically Italian.

Spa Al Aqah is currently undergoing enhancements in order to satisfy the needs of all guests with the recent introduction of European and Indian therapies and beauty treatments further strengthening the resort’s position as the ideal getaway for relaxation and pampering.

The hotel will also be announcing its summer package at ATM with promotions for the coming season offering value for money to both local UAE residents and overseas tourists.

General manager, Patrick Antaki, said: “Our commitment to offering something for all the family is highlighted in our recently launched Teens Club, as well as our spa and leisure offerings.

“We are also gearing up for the summer season with fantastic promotions, ensuring Le Méridien Al Aqah continues to be the hotel of choice on the east coast for both quality of service and fun-filled entertainment  activities.”
