Seawings, a seaplane tour operator based in Dubai, offers a new and unique aerial sightseeing excursion across Dubai’s ever-changing coastal skyline.
The Seawings vision is to provide guests with a bird’s eye view of the UAE’s natural beauty and extraordinary man-made structures.
Operating up to 16 flights daily, Seawings also provides tours to and from Ras Al Khaimah and will be starting new operations in Lisbon and Gibraltar over the summer.
In addition to the base at Jebel Ali Golf Resort and Spa, Seawings commenced flight operations from The Dubai Creek Golf &Yacht Club last year.
According to Seawings marketing and development manager Darren Brews: “Dubai Creek has been very successful for us and we have launched our Burj Experience flights which take guests to Dubai Creek from Jebel Ali. The 40-minute Silver tour is also steadily picking up momentum at the creek, especially from the Mirdiff, Festival City areas and the creek hotels.
“Over summer we will be emphasising the indoor value-add options that guests can partake in at the creek in addition to the Seawings flight including spa, fine dining, dolphinarium and more to come. We will be offering these as add-on services to our flight to and from the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.”
Services include customised excursions, exclusive aircraft charters and the recently launched Seawings on Demand service, a corporate travel solution catering to individuals and businesses.
The World Islands, Palm Islands, Jumeirah Beach, Dubailand, Sports City, Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa, Maritime City, Port Rashid and Festival City are some of the popular tourist sights guests can see on a Seawings scenic flight.
The Ras Al Khaimah package is very popular among guests at Dh1095 ($298) each way. The route boards at Jebel Ali Golf Resort and Spa or Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and drops guests at Hilton Ras Al Khaimah with a return transfer by road. In addition to the flight the sights available on this experience include Umm Al Quwain, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and the Dubai costal skyline. Brews hopes to increase the popularity of this product and Ras Al Khaimah as a destination over the course of the year.
The Cessna 208A Caravan aircraft offers water take-off and landing, individual windows and comfortable leather seats.
The company recently launched its newest ‘Last Minute’ deal, available on all Seawings scenic flights. Passengers who are not in a hurry and have time to spare or tourists who are staying for longer than three days can register their names online with the Seawings reservations team for the ‘Last Minute’ price and should there be a seat available within those three days the reservations team will contact them the evening before the flight and offer seats at a substantially reduced rate of Dh600.
On a Seawings Silver experience, which usually costs around Dh1,225, guests can save up to Dh625. There are only a limited number of seats available per day and guests are required to be flexible with their time. The Seawings reservations team will inform the guests of the flight at least 12 hours before departure.
Brews said: “We have realised the need and demand to reward the customers who truly want to fly with Seawings but are willing to be flexible with their flight times in order to ensure the best value for money. We are constantly doing our research and hope to continue providing new and exciting opportunities for our passengers.”
