Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of Paul Iacovino as regional director sales and marketing, Asia Pacific.
Iacovino will be responsible for directing sales and marketing activities for the properties in the Asia Pacific region as well as the operation of worldwide sales offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo. With nearly 25 years in the hotel industry, Iacovino brings a wealth of marketing experience to his new position, the hotel group said. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, he began his hotel career in 1977 with Radisson Hotels in Minneapolis. This led to a four-year stint with Hyatt Hotels in both Dallas and Minneapolis, where he became a director of sales. In 1986, Iacovino joined Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. His first posting was as director of marketing with the Mandalay Four Seasons Hotels, Dallas, which was followed by a position at Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas. In 1988, he joined Four Seasons Corporate Marketing staff serving as director field marketing. In this corporate capacity, Iacovino was responsible for executing and developing marketing strategies for North America. With the expansion of the Four Seasons group into Asia through the acquisition of Regent International Hotels, Iacovino moved Down Under and look charge of the South Pacific region for both Four Seasons and Regent. He was named regional director of field marketing and based at the worldwide sales office in Sydney. In 1997, Iacovino headed back to Texas, where he was appointed to the role of regional director of marketing and hotel director of marketing for Four Seasons Hotel, Houston responsible for the southwestern portion of the United States and Mexico. Iacovino and his wife, Lindsey, have two daughters aged eight and 14 and are live in Singapore. Iacovino replaces Jonathan Sicroff, vice president sales and marketing, who is now based in San Francisco.
