KEMPINSKI’S CEO claims Jordan is set to become one of the world’s most popular destinations.

Unveiling the hotel group’s latest gem, the new and ultra-modern Kempinski Hotel Aqaba, Reto Wittwer, president and CEO of Kempinski Hotels said: “We were keen on managing this hotel, given the strategic importance of the destination. Jordan is primed to be one of the world’s most popular destinations and we felt a five-star deluxe hotel such as this one would be perfect in Aqaba.”

The property is owned by Ayla Hotels & Tourism and the company’s chairman Jawad Al Kassab said: “We firmly believed a luxury beach resort in Aqaba was a sound investment, we envisioned a resort that stressed style and comfort above anything else.”

The hotel is creatively designed in a tear-drop shape, guaranteeing sea views for all 201 lavishly-furnished rooms and suites.

The new Kempinski Hotel Aqaba sits on the sandy shores of the Red Sea close to Petra and the magical desert of Wadi Rum.
