Heuze takes over at Emaar Hospitality

Emaar Hospitality Group has appointed Patrick Heuze as chief operating officer.  Heuze joined Emaar in 2007 and was promoted to senior corporate director of development and operations. His most recent position was senior director - hospitality asset management and development for Emaar Properties

 

 

 

Kaiser for Mövenpick Ibn Batuta Gate

Jan Kaiser joins Ibn Batuta Gate Hotel operated by Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts, a new property set to open in 2010. Kaiser’s career spans 14 years in the hospitality industry working in the Netherlands, Czech Republic, China, and the Middle East. Before Ibn Batuta Gate, he was at the Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Langlais appointed at Accor

Charlie Langlais, previously managing director for Mercure, Novotel and Pullman in Germany has been appointed chief operating officer for Accor Hospitality Middle East, Africa, Indian Ocean and Caribbean Islands. Epsom joins Mövenpick Hotels

Guy Epsom has been appointed business development director for the Mövenpick’s four new properties in Dubai. Epsom is a sales and marketing professional with experience in the hospitality industry and in the region. Evans appointed for Jordan Marriott 

Marriott Hotels in Jordan has announced the appointment of Meg Evans as country director of sales and marketing for the Amman Marriott, Jordan Valley Marriott and Petra Marriott hotels. Vetry promoted to Ritz-Carlton Qatar

Hossein Vetry takes charge in his new role as area general manager of the Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Qatar. Dietzsch for Le Méridien Abu Dhabi

Alex Dietzsch has been appointed assistant food and beverage manager at the Le Méridien Abu Dhabi. Swiss-Belhotel Doha appoints GM

Swiss-Belhotel International announced the appointment of Michel Sursock as the new general manager of its property in Doha, Qatar. Sursock was formerly general manager of the Royal Tulip Mirbat Resort and Spa in Salalah, Oman and brings with him over 30 years of hotel management experience acquired in the Middle East.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

New director at Sheraton Doha  

Sheraton Doha Resort and Convention Hotel has promoted Ameen Al-Darawsheh to director of convention sales. In his new role, Al-Darawsheh will be responsible for the daily operations of banquet sales management. Tapken joins City Seasons Group 

Thomas Tapken, ranked among the ‘50 most influential hoteliers’ in the Middle East has been appointed group general manager for City Seasons Group of Hotels. Tapken was formerly regional general manager Dubai for Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts.  He has handled various assignments in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
