Rotana opened its two properties on Yas Island with much fanfare for the Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The Yas Island Rotana offers superb accommodation with a wide range of facilities. Adjoining Yas Island Rotana is the Centro Yas Island. The hotel is Rotana’s first property under the “Centro Hotels by Rotana” brand. Young and fresh, Centro Yas Island is a contemporary concept that is original in its presentation and dynamic in its offerings. The 259 room hotel meets the demands of a new generation of traveller.
Joe Batshoun, general manager of the properties said that both were completely booked over the F1 weekend with a mix of both business and leisure guests. “While the business market was related to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the leisure market consisted of guests from Europe and the Middle East including the UAE,” he added.
Looking ahead, Batshoun said that he is confident of maintaining occupancies at the properties. “We are working closely with the Aldar sales & marketing team to set our selling strategies correctly and to ensure coherence between all operators for the promotion of the Yas Island destination,” he added.
