A STABLE economy has resulted in increasing business and leisure travellers to Morocco, and as a result Thrifty Car Rental has an agreement with the Moroccan Airports Authority to inaugurate counters in the airports of Agadir, Marrakech, Rabat and Tangier.
“After operating a year in Casablanca, Thrifty recognised the opportunities to serve more tourists and corporate clients across Morocco, and we were determined to continue with strategic expansion into the country,” said Abdel Hamid Hdoud, managing director of Thrifty Car Rental, Morocco.
The opening of four new outlets has prompted Thrifty, a subsidiary of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, to increase its fleet size in Morocco up to 35 per cent from the same period last year, stocking a range of vehicles from small cars to minivans. “The demand for small to midsize cars has soared this summer, but we see this trend as a temporary one, which will last until worldwide consumer confidence returns,” said Hdoud.
Morocco has experienced a boost in its economy due to the economic and trade reforms implemented in recent years.
