THE Address Dubai Mall, the five star premium hotel linked to The Dubai Mall shopping and entertainment destination, opened its doors on 09/09/09.

The third property in the portfolio of The Address Hotels and Resorts, the hotel brand owned by Emaar Hospitality Group, The Address Dubai Mall has 244 rooms and suites, all offering views of Downtown Burj Dubai. Being close to the 1,200 retail outlets of the mall is ideally suited for its target audience – corporate, leisure and group travellers who value personalised luxury.

Mohamed Alabbar, chairman, Emaar Properties, said: “The opening of the hotel is Emaar’s tribute to the city of Dubai as it celebrates the launch of the Dubai Metro. As the city moves into a new league of progress with advanced connectivity, Emaar is privileged to further strengthen the city’s hospitality sector with the new hotel.”

He added, “Dubai is continuing to beat all projections in terms of visitor arrivals with over 1.85 million guests being hosted in the second quarter of this year alone. This indicates a robust growth of tourism and growing demand for hotel rooms.”

Marc Dardenne, chief executive officer, Emaar Hospitality Group said: “The Dubai Mall attracts an average three million visitors every month and, together with such spectacles as The Dubai Fountain and Emaar Boulevard, has become one of the most-preferred tourist destinations in the city. Adding to the shopping and leisure choice is Souk Al Bahar, an Arabesque-styled shopping mall, within walking distance of the hotel.”

Other leisure attractions for hotel guests include the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo featuring 33,000 aquatic animals, the Olympic sized Dubai Ice Rink; SEGA Republic, the largest of its kind indoor theme park in the region; Reel Cinemas and the soon to open KidZania, a children’s edutainment centre being introduced to Dubai.

All rooms feature flat screen TVs, complimentary wireless Internet access, iPod docking stations and coffee and tea making machines.

The Address Dubai Mall also has a luxurious spa with an extensive menu of treatments.

Its central location is good for meetings, and the ballroom can accommodate up to 650 guests. In addition are six events and meeting rooms that can host from 15 to 40 people.

The Address Dubai Mall joins The Address Downtown Burj Dubai, and The Palace – The Old Town, both operated by The Address Hotels and Resorts. The brand has also established its international credentials with management contracts to operate luxury properties in Morocco and France.
