TOM Nutley, one of international travel and tourism’s most experienced figures, plans to launch a private members’ establishment dedicated to the travel industry.
“London is a hub for the business worldwide and yet as costs rise in the capital and travel companies and organisations move out, there’s nowhere we can call our own,” said Nutley, former chairman of Reed Travel Exhibitions.
The Travel Club is to be in a Grade 2 Listed 17th Century building in St James’s Square, London, close to Piccadilly, and has three bars, a restaurant, bistro, meeting and function rooms, library, gymnasium, spa, bedrooms and a secluded courtyard garden.
Nutley has brought together a team of five directors, all with extensive industry experience, who are working with leading industry associations on a membership drive prior to a formal launch on September 29.
